Reminder:
BOT Ball students need to be released at 11:30 to serve in the Hofacket Building cafeteria
 
Art Club students need to be released at 11:30 to serve in the Main Building cafeteria
 
All students:
There will be a mandatory meeting on Thursday, February 11th during Advisory for all office aides that work in the front office at either the Hofacket Building or the Main Building.
 
Students:  please remember that the drop off and pick up area is in the loop at the Hofacket Building.  This applies to all students in the morning, at lunch time, and after school.
 
Students:  you cannot park your vehicles in front of the High School or along the chain link fence in the morning.
 
Deming High School is publishing a literary magazine composed of student writing and art work.  If you have something you would like to submit, please take it by room 22 with Ms. Darling for approval.  All kinds of writing and art work will be considered.  You could be published!
 
Need a valentine for that special someone?  Valentine plush w/ balloons and candy from $2 - $75, mylar balloons from $1 - $5, and latex balloons for 50 cents each are being sold in P-3 with Mrs. Jarvis.  Stop by and see what is available.
 
The deadline for Senior Cap and Gown picture orders is before February 19th.  Picture orders will not be accepted after that date, no exceptions!  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Darling in room 22.
 
If you’ve already turned in your request for local scholarship applications to Mrs. Lively in the Guidance Office, your folder is ready to be picked up.
 
11th graders:
NM Tech will have a representative here on Wednesday, February 17th at 2:30pm in the Main Building library for those students that are interested in science and math.
 
12th graders:
NM Tech will have a representative here on Wednesday, February 17th at 2:30pm in the Main Building library for those students that are interested in science and math.
 
 

New Mexico High School Competency Exam:
Juniors and Seniors: please open the attachment for the date of the review sessions for the high school competency exam.
 
The test will be given the first week of March.
 
The first review session will be this Tuesday, February 2nd at the main building library!

Celebration of Life Walk:

Celebration of Life Cancer Walk will be held Saturday March 27th this year. We ask that the high school team walk together for at least the first lap. We are aiming to have the biggest team this year!!! If you would like to order a t-shirts or would like to buy a lunch ticket please come by portable 5 and see Mrs. Zumwalt. The T-shirts are $13.00 and the lunch tickets are $ 7.00. The lunch consists of a hamburger, chips, drink, and a cookie. If your club/organization would like to have a fundraiser please let Mrs. Zumwalt know what you have in mind. Some ideas are face painting, popcorn, student-friendly games, etc. Please keep in mind that all proceeds from the fundraiser will go to Luna County Cancer Support. This is a great opportunity for DHS to give back to our community!
