Guidance Counseling Mission Statement
The Guidance and Counseling Program in the Deming Public Schools is an essential part of the total school system. The program begins with the recognition that each individual is unique, and this must be respected.
In an effort to ensure the success of all students enrolled in Deming Public Schools, the counseling program and activities are incorporated into the district curriculum and are addressed by the district counseling staff.
The program has as its purpose to acquire and apply knowledge of self and others; to achieve educational success; and to develop competencies in career and life planning.
