I have been teaching at Deming High School for four years. I received my teaching degree from the NMSU School of Agriculture emphasizing in Engineering Technology Education.

My classes concentrate on design and the engineering process, using multiple computer software programs including AutoCAD, Inventor and Maya. Advanced classes also learn Engineering Technology basics such as electronic circuits, soldering and C++ programming.

Students in my classes are also able to use a 3D printer for plastic models and prototypes of their designs.

Students also learn skills needed to produce custom posters, vinyl signs and stickers, and t-shirts. The items are sold to students and staff at the school and money generated is used to purchase materials needed for class projects.

Current projects include prosthetic hands and unmanned drones.
